Entwickelt wurde es, um die Entwicklung und das individuelle Lernen von Kindern und Jugendlichen vom ersten bis zum sixteen. Lebensjahr verfolgen zu können. In Auseinandersetzung mit dieser Methode kam für mich die Frage auf, inwieweit sie für den Kinderhausbereich geeignet ist, welche Vorteile sie bietet und welche Voraussetzungen dafür gegeben sein müssen.
Um dieser Frage nachzugehen wird in Teil eins zunächst auf die Bedeutung von Beobachtung und Dokumentation im Kinderhaus im Allgemeinen eingegangen. Teil zwei beschreibt den „Baum der Erkenntnis“ näher und geht auf die Besonderheiten dieses Instrumentes und auf Chancen und Möglichkeiten für pädagogisches Handeln ein. Abschließend stellt Teil drei Überlegungen zur Implementierung in die Praxis an.
